Summary:
This research, based on a Chinese case, focuses on how an economic and sustainable intermodal transportation network for shipping automobiles is developed. A linear optimization method is adopted, and a complete arrangement table is output. The outcome shows that roughly 14% of the carbon emissions and costs can be reduced according to the new proposal.
