Summary:
This study explores how visibility beyond tier-1 suppliers influences firms’ ability to mitigate high-impact supply disruptions. Using empirical supply network data from +30,000 firms spanning 95 countries, it quantifies the economic value of multi-tier visibility for resilience-related decision-making. The study also provides a decision-support framework to help firms determine when deeper visibility justifies the investment.
