Summary:
The sponsor company is a global consumer goods enterprise whose end-to-end supply chain planning activities encompass from the procurement of raw materials to the primary distribution to regional distribution centers.​ The company currently uses a Mixed Integer Linear Program (MILP) software for planning; however, the volume of data and the supply chain complexity are compromising the solution’s quality and efficiency. We will search for more suitable strategies by testing specific meta-heuristic and machine learning techniques.
