Summary:
Ecuador must invest in logistics efficiency, supply chain management, and sustainability to attract more external investors, increase exports, and mitigate political and economic instability. Since there is a lack of information regarding logistics efficiency in Ecuador, this research aims to estimate the Logistics Performance Index based on economic and social KPIs, compare it with other countries and propose public policies to increase Ecuador’s LPI. The estimated LPI for Ecuador is 2.71, and 6 policies for short, medium, and long-term impacts were suggested based on those applied in countries with higher scores.
