Summary:
This project attempts to optimize the ‘Truck Fill Volume’ of retail goods trucks that are usually only 70% full in the European region. Analysis of the driving factors, statutory & social requirements, drivers and barriers, carbon footprint and cost-benefit analysis form the basis of the project. Case-to-case recommendations for stacking goods will be an outcome, in addition to a roadmap for the future which aligns with the ALICE vision of ‘Zero emissions logistics’.
