Summary:
Currently, there is little visibility of future incoming goods flows into the USA. This work will develop a congestion model of maritime ports, build a forecasting model of estimated time of arrival (ETA) of container ships, and use ETA as an input for a model of commodity flow. Together, the models will provide valuable insights about incoming volumes of goods for stakeholders of the US economy
